Julie Cassell, MA
Julie Cassell is an educator, speaker and writer. She has served in the educational ministry, both full and part-time, in every level from Kindergarten through college, for 25 years. She’s lived in the Tampa area for the last eight years with her pastor husband, Brad, and three sons. During that time, she taught at Tampa Adventist Academy, as well as Rushe Middle and Bayonet Point Middle, both Pasco County schools. Prior to that, she lived in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She was born and raised in Georgia, and studied English and Creative Writing at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta. She received her Master’s degree in Education from Andrews University in Michigan. She loves cooking, singing, faith art journaling, blog writing and making crafting videos for her YouTube channel. Her oldest son, Mason, is a sophomore at Adventist University of Health Sciences in Orlando, and her two younger sons are both attending North Tampa–Adam is a senior and Liam is an 8th grader.

Dawn McLendon, M.Ed
Dawn McLendon’s background includes extensive experience in education and marketing, with roles in teaching, administrative, and recruitment/enrollment at schools within the Adventist education system.
Prior to her previous position as Marketing Director at Foot & Ankle Associates of Florida, Ms. McLendon served in the role of Vice President, Marketing and Enrollment Services at Adventist University of Health Sciences (formerly Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences), where she was also a member of the Adventist Enrollment Association and FHCHS Admissions Committee.
Before joining Adventist University, she held positions as Associate Superintendent of Education and Classroom Educator with the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Ms. McLendon began her career as a Classroom Educator with the Chesapeake Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists and holds a degree in Elementary Education from Washington Adventist University, as well as a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
